The business was founded by Dean Newstead, a Dundee native with years of experience in various fields. After facing two redundancies, Dean decided to take his future into his own hands and launched Pro Carpet Solutions Ltd. The journey began with a strong will to succeed and a desire to provide customers with the highest quality service, and that dedication continues today.

Meet the Founder

Dean Newstead, the proud owner of Pro Carpet Solutions, brings not only a passion for keeping homes fresh and spotless but also a wealth of expertise in multiple fields. With over 17 years of experience at BT/Openreach, where he held positions ranging from engineering to managerial roles, Dean developed invaluable skills in leadership, customer service, and operational efficiency.

When life presented challenges, such as two redundancies within six months, Dean seized the opportunity to take control of his own destiny and start a business he truly believed in. His extensive background includes customer service excellence, computer programming, and business improvement—skills that have been instrumental in shaping the success of Pro Carpet Solutions. These abilities, combined with his hands-on approach to each job, ensure a seamless and professional experience for every customer.

What started as an idea to bring professional carpet and upholstery cleaning to the Dundee area quickly gained momentum, and Pro Carpet Solutions was born. With a small investment and training, Dean took on his first customers, cleaning for friends and family, and slowly building the business.
